SmartEEs2, one of the three cascading funding projects with currently open calls, was presented by its coordinator Jérôme Gavillet from CEA at the EU Cascade Funding for Textile Innovation webinar which was organized on 31st March 2021. This webinar was part of “Funding European Textile Innovation” – a new series of webinars organised by the European Textile Technology Platform.

On 30th March 2021 JIC, a South Moravian Innovation Centre, organizes a webinar with participation of AMIRES, a business coaching partner of SmartEEs2 project. The webinar is for Czech SMEs and Mid-caps and it is focused on the operation, rules and possibilities of using the SmartEEs2 program. The language of the webinar is Czech.

On the 16th March 2021 PrintoCent and VTT organized a Webinar on SmartEES success stories where seven application experiments supported by SmartEEs project were presented.

The Marketplace offers Innovation companies the possibility to explore innovative offerings, based on flexible electronics. Moreover, the digital marketplace offers information and contacts to the leading European organizations involved in flexible & wearable technologies research, development, integration and commercialization. The SmartEEs Marketplace is a place to innovate the business of SMEs, Mid-caps and Large companies while scouting for new business opportunities with flexible electronics technologies and to connect supply (ready to integrate products, prototypes, services) & demand (designers, integrators, solution providers, vendors), and to facilitate the promotion of innovative products.

This year LOPEC is going virtual and SmartEEs2 is having its online exhibition stand promoting its products, services and ecosystem. Interested SMEs and Mid-caps have the opportunity to see interesting new prototypes developed by SmartEEs project in cooperation with selected companies, and learn how they can submit their ideas for new prototypes / series of prototypes to the remaining two cut-off dates of the SmartEEs2 Call for Application Experiments.
One of the featured products at the SmartEEs2 e-booth is a digital Marketplace for material producers, technology providers, tool makers, integrators and end-users. The digital marketplace offers information and contacts to the leading European organizations involved in flexible & wearable technologies research, development, integration and commercialization. The uniqueness of this virtual catalogue is its technical part, where detailed specifications of more than 138 products, prototypes and technology services is included. The competencies for business support are also listed. These marketplaces are accompanied by the Community module, where essential information (events, funding, jobs, reports, skills & trainings, videos) for the whole ecosystem could be posted. The marketplace access and searches are for free, all registered participants can post their competencies or Community posts also for free.
Following the evaluation process of proposals submitted by the 3rd cut-off date, the SmartEEs2 consortium selected 12 proposals to proceed with the contracting phase. The projects are focused on integrating flexible and wearable electronics into advanced new products / series of products.
Altogether 26 proposals were received for this cut-off date, all of which were evaluated by the SmartEEs2 Evaluation Panel. The funding amount for each of the selected projects will be decided during the contracting phase.
